DMCA Copyright Policy
WatchBase respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
1. Overview & Fair Use Notice
WatchBase (“StackBase Inc.”) operates strictly as an entertainment metadata directory, tracking service, and review platform. WatchBase does not host, stream, upload, or store video media files, full movies, TV episodes, or copyright-protected audiovisual files on its servers. Metadata, poster artwork, and video trailers are retrieved via authorized third-party APIs (such as TMDB) or gathered under fair use guidelines.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent acting on behalf of a copyright owner and believe that any content or metadata on WatchBase infringes upon your copyright, please submit a formal DMCA Takedown Notice containing the following information:
- Work Identification: A clear description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Infringing Material URL: The specific URL or location on WatchBase where the allegedly infringing material is located.
- Contact Information: Your full legal name, physical address, phone number, and email address.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the authorized copyright holder or representative.
3. Takedown & Counter-Notification Procedure
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, WatchBase will expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified material. If content you submitted was removed in error, you may submit a written counter-notification containing your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury agreeing to jurisdiction, and your physical or electronic signature.
